Saturday 26 August 2006

My Saturday night.

Just wanted to let you all know that Steve's fine. We picked him and Anthony up earlier today and brought their washing with them . It was sooo good to hear Steve singing in his old room again, it made me cry. I realised just how much I miss having him around. We had a good old sing song and forgot all our troubles for a while. This is a very teary time for me, especially as my eldest son gets married on Saturday. It makes you realise you're growing old-er. Just wish I could keep them both under my wing forever but we all know that lifes not like that. Children grow up and leave home to start a new life with their loved one. Then poor old Mum gets left behind feeling sorry for herself and redundant, reliving the past when her grown men were babies. Ah me !!!

Aww, you're such a wonderful mother! You almost made ME cry, with that "It was sooo good to hear Stevie singing in his old room again..." How sweet is that?! Your children are extremely lucky to have you as a mother!

Have a fabulous day!

Love that song..makes me bawl..between you and Stevie I've had a right old cry tonight..made me think about my own Mum, my kids growing up, my hubby away...all of it..just got to me!! But I feel so much better a good cry does that to you doesn't it?? I feel silly really...I don't even know you but here we are having a cry together all these miles apart..you must be so proud of Stevie..he is a special soul..he just has something about him..the first time we "met" I just felt this connection with him and he has a special place in my heart and always will have.. and as his Mum you too have a place...luckily I have a big heart... ;-)
Do me a favour?? Give Stevie a big hug and kiss in the morning and tell him that's all the way from Florida...

Yep I have been reading Stevies journal. He had a great time too and promised not to smoke again. Thank heaven. I know as a mother myself how much we worry about our kids. I'm sure the wedding is going to be great.

I just wanted to applaud you for raising such a wonderful son as Stevie. I am so glad to have met him here through Jland. He is such a wonderful person. And his voice, my gosh. He has the voice of an angel. I could listen to him all day. I keep telling him he should have his music on a cd, I'd be first in line to buy a copy, or two, or three, lol. I've been sharing his songs with friends and family who are'nt members of Jland, and they absolutely love him, and want to know if he has a cd out. And I now know where stevie gets his beautiful voice from, his mummy. I heard you sing the song Where the Boys Are, and oh my goodness you have a beautiful voice. Also wanted to say I loved your wedding picture. You looked so beautiful. (((hugs)))
