CAN'T SLEEP

JUST CAN'T SLEEP

I just can't sleep

Not a wink, not a peep

Got things going round in my head,

I tried counting sheep

Oh how I need to sleep

Just tossing around in my bed,

Got things on my mind

If I could just find

A way to shut off from the day,

I would dream of good things

And all that life brings

The dawn seems a lifetime away,

I think I'll just doze

In my silent repose

And try to drift into the night,

Or when I awake

For goodness sake

I'll look such a terrible sight.
