We're a lovely bunch of people in J land. Or so I thought. As you know, I've not been here long but long enough to know that there are some really great people on here. I have made MANY friends and look forward to hearing from them ( you know who you are )
Most people on here have had bad things happen to them in life, I know I have. They just look forward to talking to friends, no strings attached and getting a load off their mind by sharing their worries and feelings and their joys and goodwill.
I see the same familiar names on my e mails everyday and would be devastated if I lost touch with them. They are like family to me now, even after such a short space of time I have been journalling.
I don't know exactly what's going on here but I do know that it's spoiling everything we have in J land. We just celebrated a third birthday here, only to have it marred by bad feeling and bitching.
If we wanted this type of behaviour, we could just go to the chatrooms, they're full of it.
I think this vivis thing should be knocked in the head because it's causing nothing but grief to everyone involved. Journalling isn't a competition, it's a way of expressing your feelings without fear of contradiction and mockery.
I just wish people would remember what we're all about and just enjoy.

YESSS! Boy do I agree! Since this was my first awards, I honestly thought this would be so fun to do....Boy was I wrong. I'm very hurt, sad and sooo upset over so many childish comments emails etc... Too bad the same people I got to know and were so very nice, have now turned into something I don't like seeing. :o( Like you said....I wish people would remember what we are all about here in J-Land!

Blimey, this is getting worse. lololol I dunno what a Vivi is, what is it?
Pat I don't know exactly what is going on but whatever it is I hope it stops and quickly ~ as you say the Vivi's arn't a competition ~ it is supposed to be fun between friends ~ to get us all together ~ seems it is blowing us apart ~ so sad ~ Ally
Pat I do so agree ,there are so many wonderful journals out there each in its own way unique, now its all gone sour ,but as I said to Steve last night ,who as you know is so talented ,it is jealousy ,but as friends we stick to gether and dont allow these petty people to spoil our enjoyment ,.,.,.,.,Jan xx
Pat I agree with you. . last year I loved the Vivi Awards . .it was great to know some of my journal friends got one. This year there seems to be a LOTS of jealousy and hatred in journal entries. . .I am shocked. . it spoils the whole thing.I cant understand how people can be so hateful over another journal.I will be sending congratulations to those that win. . .its supposed to be good fun and nothing too serious and after all this years Vivis are in memory of Pam who won an ward last year and is now no longer her with us. . .that says it all really. . .. .it does not matter at all in the great scheme of life.
Couldn't agree more
People can be so negative, it shows a lack of security and weakness in their personality. The Vivi's should be fun, it's not like anything big is up for grabs is it?! There's no walking off stage with a large cheque!! I suppose we should feel pity for the sad ones who try to ruin our journalling experience. I hope they go ahead but it doesn't look to promising now so I suppose the saddo's are winning this one.

I really enjoyed the VIVIS last year, on top of that I even received a nomination but this year I`m starting to feel differently with all the bitching. Anyone would think it was the Oscars and not a fun competition. You`re right, there are some lovely people out there and I love to read the comments that are left by them each day. They (my friends) are far more important to me than an any awards.

I've been journaling 22 mos. now. I didn't even know about the Vivis last year. But from what I've read, I agree with ya. This is one of the reasons I won't participate in helping with community things. I've done it on Xanga (another blog space) and there was too much BS. I told myself I wouldn't do it again. It's really sad that a couple bad apples have to ruin things for others. As I told Stevie, J-land here has been a good place for me. I've never had any problems with anyone and I don't get into things that aren't my business cuz who needs the BS? Not me. I refuse to let negativity in my life especially from people online, yet alone my family and friends. Hugs, Dana
